Power Construction (CRU Programme, Langa)

During my June/ July vacation I spent four weeks working on site in Langa with Power Construction. I was situated in the Quantity Surveyors office where I assisted both the Senior and Junior Quantity Surveyor with measurement, payments and other admin work. I also assisted the Construction Manager, Formen, Safety Officer and Site Clerk with small tasks where needed.

 

This Community Residential (CRU) Programme is an initiative of the City of Cape Town and aims to provide the Langa Community with 463 family residential units. Local labour from the Langa community was used on the project where possible, providing the community with work.
